Photography
Photography is one of those things that I’m sure I was meant to do. I love being behind the lens. I love creating something beautiful and artistic out of an everyday moment. I know it needs to be a big part of my life. It’s just the who, what, where, and how that I don’t know. As of now, it’s a hobby. I don’t see it ever becoming a career, but I see it playing a big part in what I do on a daily basis. For now, that is both in blogging, and recording the precious moments I have with my family.
But first… I have MUCH to learn. I am constantly taking photos and am always looking for new environments and situations for photos. My poor kids… they are my guinea pigs.
With that said, I am by no means a pro. Or even a semi-pro. I am still a beginner, having only shot in manual mode since June 2010. That is about a year and a half at the time I’m writing this. In that time I have learned so much about handling my camera, working with different types of lighting, and adjusting settings in order to get the effects I would like. I feel like I can finally walk into (almost) any environment and quickly change my settings to take a great picture. Now, I’m determined to get to the point where I can walk into absolutely any environment and take an AMAZING picture. Someday…. Someday.
